Introduction
Deserts are harsh places to live. The Mojave Desert with 4-8 inches of rain is one of the toughest. But creatures of grace and beauty live and flourish in the Mojave Desert.
The Details
The spring is the best time to see animals, when the wild flowers are blooming. By late summer the animals typically come out only at night or after rains. In winter you will seldom see them, and many actually hibernate though they may stir during a warm spell.
Birds are a different story because they can be observed many times of the year.
