Tag: Chollas

Chollas are the plants of two genera–Cylindropuntia and Corynopuntia (Grusonia). They are close relatives of Opuntias and have jointed stems. Their fruits and seeds are similar to those of Opuntias. Yet, they grow differently forming mats or small trees of angular branches.
