…cacti, succulents and more

Tag: Biology

Cacti, succulents, and other desert plants often have unique biology. For instance, many cacti secret sugar water that ants drink–it is thought that the ants provide protection from cactus-eating insects. Yuccas have a special relationship with moths that pollinate them and which pollinate no other plants. The list of wonderful biological processes goes on and on.
