Tag: Deserts

It is hard to precisely define a desert. They are often defined as land areas that receive less than 10 inches of rain per year. But, some deserts may receive more than that. And, semi-deserts may receive up to 20 inches of rain each year. Deserts may be hot, but they may be very cold in winter depending upon their elevation.
